"It's not new, it's not brilliant... it's just added sugar"
That's how tlbmS describes his music with a hint to the good old electro days and references in earlier times' italo-disco, synth-pop and new-wave. His music stands out like a well-known Gin & Tonic with extra sugar.
Jenner: tlbmS is an abreviation for "the lovely but mad System"?
Mads, 26y.o.: Yes, It sums up pretty good who I am. The question that usually follows is "Why is the S big?", so I better answer that one too. It's simple really - it just looks better. I do have some problems with people spelling it wrong... and biting their tongue off trying to pronounce it. But that's just added fun!

Jenner: Tell us about your local scene.
Mads: I live in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, which makes me feel very privileged. The scene here is diverse with lot's of great concerts to go to every week. At first I thought I had to go ALL the concerts, because where I grew up (western part of Denmark) there was only one concert a month, so you couldn't miss it! Made me pretty stressed out. But now I think I found the right balance. I especially like the queer parties going on here in Copenhagen, which are usually very open, warm and fun events with lot's of electro, ghetto and mashups. I'm not gay... but those parties makes me feel welcome! The clubbing scene is diverse, so even if you are an electro-freak (like me) or into trance, techno, house or minimal there is places to go.
Jenner: How do you get to those remixes ?
Mads: All my remixes are the results of networking via myspace. Most of them per request by the artists themselves. At first I didn't see myself as a remixer, and in fact my first go at remixing was "Fantasy" by the swedish/spanish band Rolax www.myspace.com/rolaxrox in November 2007 (a big thank you to them for letting me try it out!). So remixing is still very new to me, and I'm still learning.
But I like it. The remixes gives me a possibility to make more clubby music... as my own tunes are more dusty and retro. I always strive to make my tracks suitable for dancing... but the remixing gives me a chance to push it to the edge.
4. Tell us about your equipment set and softwares you use
Mads: I am software-based using FL Studio as my main DAW - running on a PC laptop. I have used this program since version 3.0 and still use it for pretty much everything. I used to use Cubase for audio recording, but now FL can take care of that too. I'm not very good at playing synths by hand, but I lately bought a microKORG (mainly for it's lovely vocoder)... so let's see if I can learn it.
When I play live I use Ableton Live and an AKAI usb controller, which gives me a good intuitive performance... where I don't have to hide behind my laptop.
Jenner: What´s your future plans ?
Mads: I have had a few gigs in Copenhagen since January, but June looks like a busy month for me, with two festivals and one club-gig. I also recently teamed up with Chez Debs www.myspace.com/chezdebs - from Belgium, but now living in Copenhagen - and we curently work on finishing a 4-track demo and booking shows... I'm sure it will work out great.
